She became fascinated by the Gothic world and witchcraft, and her university roommate eventually ended up casting a spell on her. Shannon was born into a Catholic home, but her faith was not deep. Apart from going to Mass on Sundays, her family did not deepen in their faith. As a teenager, Megan Buckley's life revolved around ballet and dance. In this environment, she saw how dancers abused their bodies to conform to the standards of beauty expected of them. With regards to her faith, her family was Catholic but Megan did not have a personal relationship with Jesus because she had never had an encounter with Him. In college, Megan began to attend Protestant churches where she felt comfortable at first, but soon she began to realize that she was missing the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Emily Kelly's life consisted of her friends, school, and sports. There was nothing else. When she was seventeen, she started partying a lot and living a double life: partying on Fridays and Saturdays and going to Mass on Sundays... until she stopped going to Mass.
